FAQs
Webhooks allow Blueink to send real-time notifications to your application whenever specific actions occur, such as when documents are sent, viewed, or completed. This eliminates the need to manually check for updates and ensures your system can respond immediately to important signing events.
You can find developer documentation in the Webhooks section of Blueink's Developer Site
You can create and configure webhooks directly in the Blueink dashboard under the API section. Each webhook is assigned a secret key that your application can use to verify the authenticity of incoming requests. You can also manage webhook configurations through the Blueink API for more automation and flexibility.
Your application should respond with an HTTP status code of 200, 201, 202, or 204 to confirm successful receipt. If no response is received within 10 seconds, Blueink will automatically retry delivery on an exponential backoff schedule until the request succeeds or reaches its retry limit.
If repeated delivery attempts fail, Blueink will temporarily disable the webhook and send an email notification to account administrators. You can review the delivery logs and error details in the dashboard, then re-enable the webhook manually or through the API once the issue is resolved.
Each webhook payload contains key details about the event, including a unique event ID, event type, timestamp, account ID, and additional metadata. This structured data allows your system to easily process and act on the event in real time.
