Enhanced Role Assignments: Simplify Signer Management on Blueink

Blueink has just released a new update to our role assignment system that improves assigning signers to various roles when mixing different document templates and PDF uploads in a single envelope.

This enhancement intelligently recognizes when the same person needs to sign across multiple documents, even when their role labels differ, making your document preparation process simpler and more intuitive.

How It Works

When creating an envelope with multiple document templates that share signers—even with different role labels—Blueink will intelligently display them as a single signer.

For example, if you have four signers across two document templates, but one person appears in both templates, you'll see only three signers on your screen instead of four duplicated entries.

The View All Assignments Feature

  1. During envelope preparation, look for the "View All Assignments" link in both the Adding Signer step and the Prepare Document step.
  2. Click the link to see a consolidated view of all signers for each document in your envelope.
  3. From this view, you can quickly modify role assignments, visibility settings, and read-only status for any document-signer combination.

This new feature is available in both Envelope Preparation and Envelope Templates, giving you complete control over your document workflows.

Getting Started

These improvements are already live in your Blueink account. The next time you create a template or prepare an envelope with multiple documents, you'll automatically benefit from our enhanced role assignment system.
