BX24 and Wireless RF:
The following example uses
2 wireless modules made by parallax and RF Digital.com
The first module, is the 433.92 MHz Transmitter $59 - #27986 (www.parallaxinc.com)
The second module
is the 433.92 MHz Transceiver $119 - #27988 (www.parallaxinc.com)
While the documentation states that these modules can communicate at 9600 baud,
in fact, you can communicate with the transmitter from your BX at 9600 baud,
but the transmitter can only send data to the transceiver (or receiver at 1200
baud).
Note: I would not recommend buying these products. They are by far too expensive,
and to slow.
There are several other products on the market for 1/3 the price, that have
rates up to 50k baud.
I am currently working on documenting these RF module s.. for now, I will provide
a code example for the parallax modules above.
Code Example: this self extracting
folder includes files for the BX transmitter and the BX receiver.
Note, wiring your RF modules with the BX is very easy.
-provide 5V power and ground for each module.
-Make sure your "mode" pin is wired to 5V (such that they are in serial
mode)
-Ignore the TXFLO
-wire your module TXD pin to your serialOUT on your sending BX
-wire you module RXD pin to your serialIN on your receiving BX
